Outer Banks Health has announced Erin Baker, DO, as the recipient of the 2024 Horizon Award for Physician of the Year. Dr. Baker practices at Outer Banks Health Family Medicine in Manteo and also serves as the Medical Director for the Community Care Clinic of Dare.
The award recognizes providers who excel in enhancing the quality of life for residents and visitors of Dare County. Criteria for selection included team member and patient experience, quality initiatives, leadership, mentoring, and community involvement. This year saw over 40 nominations.
Dr. Baker is known for her dedication to patient care, taking time to address concerns and ensuring patients understand their health information. Her commitment extends beyond her practice as she actively contributes to community health efforts.
