Kelsey Senn, a medical assistant at Family Medicine – Manteo, has been recognized as the Outer Banks Health Team Member of the Month for November 2024. Senn joined Outer Banks Health in September 2020, initially working as a patient access representative before transitioning to her current role.

Senn is known for her compassionate approach to patient care and her willingness to listen and advocate for patients. Her colleagues describe her as an "energizer bunny" due to her enthusiasm and dedication.

She has completed the SPICE (Statewide Program for Infection Control & Epidemiology) course, tailored for outpatient settings, and serves as the designated Infection Control on-site person at her clinic. Her creative methods in educating her team on infection prevention have been noted as going above and beyond expectations.

Senn is praised for being a team player who steps up when needed, covering various roles and volunteering on days off. She contributes artistically to team celebrations by creating posters and gifts and is known as Manteo’s Pumpkin Contest guru.

“Her proactive approach and dedication to infection control has made a significant impact,” commented one of Senn’s team members. Another added, “She is a special part of our team and an asset to the organization.”
