The Outer Banks Health Development Council has announced it is now accepting letters of intent for its Community Benefit Grants Program. The initiative aims to fund projects that enhance access to healthcare in specific regions.

Organizations interested in applying must submit their letters of intent by 5 p.m. on Friday, December 6, 2024. Submissions should be made electronically through the online grant system available at https://www.ecuhealth.org/about-us/community/grant-programs/. Applicants need to select the option for the Outer Banks Health’s Community Benefit Grants Program. Only submissions made via this method will be considered.

The grants will be distributed during the 2025-2026 cycle, which runs from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026. Eligible applicants include government entities or nonprofit organizations with a 501(c)(3) status located in Dare County, Currituck County, and on Ocracoke Island. In the previous year, $139,500 was allocated to twelve nonprofits and agencies for healthcare access projects.

For more information about the application process or program details, Lyndsey Hornock can be contacted at 252-449-9183 or via email at [email protected].
