Town of Emerald Isle issued the following announcement on Oct. 2.
You don't have to be a first responder or a superhero to save a life - but you can be somebody's hero when you donate blood.
The American Red Cross is in an emergency appeal, and has a critical need for donations. The next blood drive will be held from 2-6:30 p.m. on Friday, October 15 at the Emerald Isle Community Center, at 203 Leisure Lane.
