TOWN OF MANTEO: What do you see for the DAC?

Comment

Town of Manteo issued the following announcement on Sep 17.

It's time to break out the pens, papers, sticky notes, flip charts, and more!  The Downtown Associate Community (DAC) Vision Forum is scheduled for Wednesday, September 29th at 4:00 p.m. at the Manteo High School in the cafeteria, and we need your help!  NOW is the time to be a part of something so fantastic for ALL of greater Manteo!

The Town of Manteo made a commitment to the DAC program, which is our pathway to the Main Street designation.  Access to resources to help the Town with economic development such as grants and more open up as a full member of the Main Street program.  This will not only benefit the downtown but the entire Town - all of greater Manteo.

State staff have provided presentations at previous meetings, which can be found on the Town's website at www.manteonc.gov/DAC.  Now, it's time to hear from YOU!  We need your feedback on a variety of things that make up the Town's character and will help guide it's future, including, but not limited to, amenities, accessibility, historical preservation, vitality, economic drivers, strengths, opportunities, challenges, and more!

This is a great honor for the Town of Manteo.  As part of this program, we need the community's input to determine a shared vision for the future of Manteo.  Community-wide ownership of the program is critical to its success! Share with all our friends, family, and neighbors in the greater Manteo area.

Please join us on Wednesday, September 29th at 4:00 p.m. at the Manteo High School Cafeteria (one of those community assets).  If you have any questions, please contact Michele Bunce at (252) 473-4101 or via email at mbunce@manteonc.gov.

We can't wait to see you ALL there!
