TOWN OF PINE KNOLL SHORES: Changes To In-person Activity In Public Buildings

Notice

Town of Pine Knoll Shores issued the following announcement on Aug. 14.

Due to the rising cases of COVID in our area, the Board of Commissioners have decided to make some changes to in-person activity in our public buildings.

Until further notice:

·        The Board of Commissioners and Town-appointed committees will continue to meet in person, however, only fully vaccinated Board/Committee members will be allowed to attend in person. Non-vaccinated Board/Committee members and the public must participate virtually. Watch for meeting announcements with instructions on how to attend virtually and/or make a public comment.

·        Meetings of other organizations will not be allowed to take place in Town Hall nor the Public Safety Building. If your organization or HOA has scheduled a future meeting at one of the Town buildings please seek out another venue. The Town is looking into a temporary cover for the Veterans’ Park deck to accommodate outdoor meetings but we do not know when that will be accomplished.

·        Town Hall and the Public Safety Building will be closed to public entry until further notice. All Town business can be conducted by calling either building, emailing staff, retrieving blank permits online, dropping tax payments in the drop box behind Town Hall, etc. Those requiring an in-person visit with staff must make arrangements in advance. Masks or an outdoor visit may be requested.

Your cooperation is greatly appreciated!
