TOWN OF PINE KNOLL SHORES: Seeking Volunteers Interested In Serving As A Member

Volunteering

Town of Pine Knoll Shores issued the following announcement on Jul. 30.

The Parks and Recreation Committee (PARC) is seeking volunteers interested in serving as a member or alternate. PARC serves as a liaison between the Town citizens and the BOC for the purpose of advising and making recommendations using a periodically performed resident survey to plan and execute desired Town-wide recreational events.

Members serve at the pleasure of the Board of Commissioners, with a presumptive term of 2 years. Members may be either full or part-time residents. Members are expected to attend monthly meetings with no more than 3 unexcused absences annually.

The committee presently meets the first Tuesday monthly in the morning but will be moving to an evening meeting starting in September.

If you’re interested in more information or volunteering, please email Shelia Bupp at psbadmin@townofpks.com for a volunteer application or contact committee chairman Ron Pearson at 919-210-1893
