County of Currituck issued the following announcement on Jul. 16.
Currituck County’s newest park was officially opened on Friday, July 16, 2021. The Board of Commissioners, county staff, and local citizens held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Shingle Landing Park, located in Moyock at 219 Arrowhead Lane.
Shingle Landing Park contains many recreational features on a nearly 20-acre site. The park includes pickleball courts, children’s playground, natural playground area, picnic pavilion, and gazebo. Parking and restroom facilities are located on site, and the park includes more than 4,000′ of paved walking paths and footbridges that help connect nearby neighborhoods.
