Town of Pine Knoll Shores issued the following announcement on Dec. 23.

This will be one of those cold weather events where we have several nights with lows in the teens, with the days in-between (tomorrow and Sunday) not going far past freezing. 

Given this, there is a concern for power loss and the ensuing public safety risk, particularly for our elderly.

If we experience a power loss overnight or any time tomorrow or tomorrow night and you know of PKS elderly who may be in a potentially dangerous situation, pls email me at manager@townofpks.com.
