On Friday, Feb. 28, former West Carteret High School standout Josh Plisko’s current college team, the Methodist Monarchs, won 7-4 in their NCAA Division III baseball game against the Wheaton Lyons.
The game took place at Armstrong-Shelley Field. This was their first matchup against the Lyons this season.
The Monarchs’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 1 at 1 p.m. at Armstrong-Shelley Field against Wheaton Lyons.
Carteret County has scheduled a public hearing on its proposed fiscal year 2026–2027 budget. Residents can review copies starting May 11 and attend a hearing on May 18 to share their views.
