On Tuesday, March 18, former Croatan High School standout Nathan Michalowicz’s current college team, the Averett Cougars, won 8-4 in their NCAA Division III baseball game against the William Peace Pacers.
The game took place at Owen-Fulton Field. This was their first matchup against the Pacers this season.
The Cougars’ next game is scheduled for Wednesday, March 19 at 2 p.m. at Edgar H. McBane Field against Guilford Quakers.
Carteret County has scheduled a public hearing on its proposed fiscal year 2026–2027 budget. Residents can review copies starting May 11 and attend a hearing on May 18 to share their views.
