On Tuesday, Feb. 18, former First Flight High School standout Porter Braddy’s current college team, the UNC Wilmington Seahawks, lost 8-4 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Duke Blue Devils.
The game took place at Durham Bulls Athletic Park. This was their first matchup against the Blue Devils this season.
The Seahawks’ next game is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 21 at 4 p.m. at Bill Brooks Field against UNC Asheville Bulldogs.
Carteret County has scheduled a public hearing on its proposed fiscal year 2026–2027 budget. Residents can review copies starting May 11 and attend a hearing on May 18 to share their views.
