On Tuesday, April 22, former Croatan High School standout Nathan Michalowicz’s current college team, the Averett Cougars, won 11-1 in their NCAA Division III baseball game against the Ferrum Panthers.
The game took place at Panther Field. This was their second matchup against the Panthers this season.
The Cougars’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, April 26 at 12 p.m. at Owen-Fulton Field against Eastern Mennonite Royals.
Carteret County has scheduled a public hearing on its proposed fiscal year 2026–2027 budget. Residents can review copies starting May 11 and attend a hearing on May 18 to share their views.
