On Thursday, Feb. 27, former Croatan High School standout Keiya Bullock’s current college team, the Guilford Quakers, won 8-7 in their NCAA Division III softball game against the Mary Baldwin Fighting Squirrels.
The game took place at Haworth Field. This was their second matchup against the Fighting Squirrels this season.
The Quakers’ next game is scheduled for Sunday, March 2 at 12 p.m. at Haworth Field against Methodist Monarchs.
Carteret County has scheduled a public hearing on its proposed fiscal year 2026–2027 budget. Residents can review copies starting May 11 and attend a hearing on May 18 to share their views.
