Congressman Murphy, a well-known politician in North Carolina, held a strong presentation at the Morehead City Noon Rotary Club, during which he described himself as an ‘accidental politician.' Congressman Murphy shared his political journey and his aspirations for the future during this talk.

Delving into the details of Congressman Murphy's engagement, Murphy was a guest speaker Tuesday Nov. 21., at the Noon Rotary Club’s weekly meeting held at the Sanitary Restaurant, located in Morehead City, according to Carolina Coastline. His presentation was about how he even began politics and how he got to where he is now.

Focusing on his unexpected political career, Murphy started his political route when he was assigned to fill a term that was unexpired of an older legislator for the 9th State House district, according to Carolina Coastline. After a re-election with subsequent terms, he decided to run for the U.S. House of Representatives in 2019, serving the 3rd congressional district.
