County of Dare issued the following announcement on Jan. 30.
Dare County Board of Commissioners Chairman Robert L. “Bob” Woodard Sr. delivered the annual State of the County presentation on Wednesday, January 25, 2023.
The event was attended by more than 200 people, ranging from representatives of the local real estate, hospitality, tourism and construction industries to a wide array of local, state and federal officials.
In keeping with the theme of this year’s event—“Caring for the Community: A Place for All to Live and Grow”—the 2023 State of the County presentation touched on five key issues. At the conclusion of each topic, a special guest who the issue had impacted was invited to share their thoughts and experiences with everyone in attendance.
