County of Currituck issued the following announcement on Jan. 23.

Some of our staff is in Raleigh today working alongside Broadcast partners, the National Weather Service, Federal, State, and Local officials to brainstorm on how to educate, promote, and support our community thru emergency alerting, news, and information.

Remember, Currituck Alert is there to help you stay informed! Signing up is as easy as texting CTUCKALERT to 888-777 or visit currituckalert.com for more information on how to sign up for alerts you prefer. 

Also, make sure your emergency alerts function is turned on in your tech device. Check the settings on your device!

• 9-1-1 Communications Center staff - 252-453-3633 (staffed 24hrs).
