Town of Beaufort issued the following announcement on Dec. 11.
Every year Holland Shepard Group with Keller Williams Crystal Coast holds the Race to the North Pole to encourage bicycle donations to Toys for Tots.
Holland Shepard Group has invited some of Carteret County's community and business leaders to participate in an adult tricycle race.
Participants will ride in a series of small races on kid-sized tricycles. A winner will be crowned at the end of the last heat.
Holland Shepard Group is challenging our community, all participants and spectators to donate at least one new bicycle to Toys for Tots.
Bicycles will be collected by the Marines at this event or bike donations can be dropped off at Holland Shepard Group's office located at 5113 A Hwy 70, Morehead City.
