Town of Nags Head issued the following announcement on Oct. 17.
The town is pursuing a new grant to fund the renovations at Whalebone Park with a focus on young children and universal accessibility.
Join town staff for a public open house on Tuesday October 25th at the Town of Nags Head Board of Commissioners Room.
The public is invited to drop in any time between 5 and 7 p.m. to check out the draft conceptual parks plan, learn about the Accessibility For Parks grant program, provide feedback, and talk to staff.
There will be a short presentation at 5:30 Please bring your kids as there will be a kids station with paper and crayons so we can include the youngest members of our community.
