Town of Emerald Isle issued the following announcement on Mar. 21.
The N.C. Department of Transportation’s contractor is allowed to have one lane of the bridge leading to and from Emerald Isle closed at any time from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and from 6 p.m. through 6 a.m. Monday through Friday, and at any time on Saturday and Sunday. Please note, this does not guarantee the bridge will be closed for all of those timeframes.
When the Town receives any updates from NCDOT concerning lane closures or pauses in the work schedule for holidays, we will disseminate it across our official social media channels and on www.emeraldisle-nc.org.
Don’t forget you can view our live traffic cameras on the free Emerald Isle, NC app. This is available on Apple and Android devices and you can easily see what traffic looks like going to and from the bridge on the EI side.
