Town of Cape Carteret issued the following announcement on Oct. 17.
Western Carteret Fire and Ems crews will be performing hydrant maintenance through the end of October. This annual maintenance ensures hydrants are in proper working order, access to hydrants is unrestricted by debris and foliage, appropriate indicators of water supply are placed, and addresses any issues found.
There is potential for residents to notice a disruption in water pressure and/or clarity during this time period.
Please be patient and exercise caution while passing crews out performing this maintenance.
