Town of Emerald Isle issued the following announcement on Sep 5.
The public is hereby notified that the Emerald Isle Board of Commissioners will hold a Special Meeting on Friday, September 10, 2021 at 4:00 pm, at The Town Board Meeting Room at 7500 Emerald Drive, Emerald Isle, North Carolina. The purpose of the meeting is for the Board to consider the passing of a resolution opposing the United States Fish & Wildlife Service’s Proposed Designation of Critical Habitat Unit NC-4 (Emerald Isle-Atlantic Beach) for the Red Knot Rufa.
