Sen. Bob Steinburg (R-Camden) claim Democrats are creating ads based on lies. | Facebook
North Carolina Sen. Bob Steinburg (R-Camden) said an ad claiming he is making costly health care more expensive is full of lies.
"Bob Steinburg is making health care we can barely afford even more expensive," the ad reads essentially as the headline, which he posted to his Facebook page on 29.
The North Carolina Republican said that there is a difference with disagreeing versus spreading what he determined were lies, according to his Facebook post.
"A difference of opinions is one thing — outright lies another," he said in his Facebook post. "Here is what I have done" $50m for PPE, $109M for testing, $49M for vaccine research, $125M for small biz help," through the Golden LEAF Foundation.
He claims that Democrats are lying, while they spend thousands of dollars.
"Democrats continue to blatantly lie as they spend hundreds of thousands of dollars of California money to try and buy the NC Senate District 1 seat I represent," he said in the post. "On the bottom of each flyer, there is small print that cites the references they are using to support these claims(lies). The bills they reference were never heard in the House and thus never reached the Senate and thus there were no votes! Outrageous but not surprising."
