Carteret County recently issued the following announcement.
IMPORTANT NOTE: As of Friday, July 24, 4pm, the DPS website reports an additional 20 positives at Carteret Correctional Center. Yesterday, there were 30 positives at Carteret Correctional Center announced by the Health Department. The Health Department is not including the additional 20 Carteret Correctional Center positives in today’s count, because we do not have the lab reports in-hand. These lab reports should come in over the weekend and the new cases will be reflected in the case count on Monday.
