On Saturday, Feb. 22, former Croatan High School standout Nathan Michalowicz’s current college team, the Averett Cougars, won 11-9 in their NCAA Division III baseball game against the Greensboro Pride.
The game took place at Ted Leonard Park. This was their second matchup against the Pride this season.
The Cougars’ next game is scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 23 at 2 p.m. at Ted Leonard Park against Greensboro Pride.
Carteret County has scheduled a public hearing on its proposed fiscal year 2026–2027 budget. Residents can review copies starting May 11 and attend a hearing on May 18 to share their views.
