Outer Banks Health (OBH) plans to open a new cardiology practice in May 2025. This development aims to enhance cardiac care access on the Outer Banks. The transition follows the closing of Eastern Carolina Cardiovascular (ECC), led by Dr. Lindsey White, who is retiring and has endorsed OBH’s capability in continuing high-quality patient care.
“This community is incredibly special to me, and I’ve built strong, meaningful relationships with so many of my patients over the years. As I move into this next chapter, I do so with complete confidence in the OBH team. I know they will continue to provide the high-quality care my patients deserve,” White stated.
The transition involves patients continuing with known providers like Robin Adami, ANP, Kimberly Caesar, PA-C, and Krista Hess, AGACNP-C. Dr. White will remain involved during a transition phase. OBH is also working to recruit a full-time on-site cardiologist.
“We are proud to welcome this practice into our system and are incredibly thankful for the years of dedication Dr. White has given to the Outer Banks community for building such an incredible practice. He has built a really strong foundation for cardiac care on the Outer Banks, and OBH plans to continue that legacy,” declared Ronnie Sloan, president of OBH.
The existing cardiology facility will undergo renovations to update the design and features. OBH guarantees that the transition will comply with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, maintaining the confidentiality and security of medical records.
OBH is focusing on future expansions in cardiac health, and more information is available at their website.
