Outer Banks Health welcomed a new stamp display inspired by the ThriveOBX Thrive5 pillars of well-being, according to a March 13 announcement. The Outer Banks Stamp Club created and donated the artwork, which features five stamp collections representing Nourish, Move, Purpose, Engage, and Balance.
The display aims to connect the history of philately with principles of well-being. Each part of the exhibit was carefully sorted, selected, arranged, and handcrafted by club members. Paint colors were matched to the Thrive5 palette. The display is located on the wall connecting the hospital’s main lobby and Emergency Department waiting area.
Hospital officials said the piece serves as a creative and educational addition that celebrates both stamp collecting and community health. The contribution demonstrates how local organizations can support efforts to keep well-being at the forefront in meaningful ways.
A ribbon cutting for the display included members of the Outer Banks Stamp Club alongside hospital staff such as Amy Montgomery, executive director of operations at Outer Banks Health. The event highlighted collaboration between community groups and healthcare providers.
Outer Banks Health provides a range of health services designed for its coastal community. The system serves a year-round population of 35,000 that increases significantly during summer months. It has been recognized for patient satisfaction and rural health initiatives.
