Madeline Luthman, a Staff Nurse IV at Outer Banks Health, has been recognized as the Team Member of the Month for September 2025. Luthman joined the organization in February 2016 and has worked with the Urgent Care Kitty Hawk team for nine years.

During her tenure, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and continues to focus on professional development. Luthman serves as a preceptor and mentor to new nurses and students, where she not only teaches clinical skills but also demonstrates empathy, integrity, and professionalism.

Luthman’s approach to patient care includes prioritizing education so that patients understand their treatment plans and feel empowered about their health. She is noted for her ability to listen, explain procedures clearly, and advocate for those under her care.

Colleagues describe Luthman as positive, reliable, and always willing to help other departments or cover shifts when needed. Her attitude is said to inspire confidence among her peers.
