Autumn Forbes, a diagnostic medical sonographer IV in Radiology, has been recognized as Outer Banks Health’s Team Member of the Month for February 2026. Forbes joined the Radiology department in April 2022 and is described by colleagues as reliable and calm, making her a trusted resource throughout the organization.

Her leadership was particularly noted during significant IT outages when she remained beyond her scheduled hours to support the PET team. According to Outer Banks Health, Forbes ensured that imaging was uploaded correctly, documentation completed, and patient exams finalized during these disruptions. This diligence protected care quality and patient safety at critical times.

Colleagues report that Forbes consistently maintains attention to detail and upholds quality standards even under pressure. She is known for her positive attitude, composure, and willingness to assist both within Radiology and other departments. Leaders highlighted her work ethic, integrity, and commitment to organizational values.

“Forbes goes above and beyond for not only her department but also other departments,” said one team member. Another stated, “We need more Autumns.” The nomination concluded with praise: “Autumn works from the heart. She is an essential part of the team, and we are all so grateful for her.”
