On Saturday, March 8, former First Flight High School standout Porter Braddy’s current college team, the UNC Wilmington Seahawks, lost 2-1 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Southern Miss Golden Eagles.
The game took place at Pete Taylor Park. This was their second matchup against the Golden Eagles this season.
The Seahawks’ next game is scheduled for Sunday, March 9 at 11 a.m. at Pete Taylor Park against Southern Miss Golden Eagles.
Carteret County has scheduled a public hearing on its proposed fiscal year 2026–2027 budget. Residents can review copies starting May 11 and attend a hearing on May 18 to share their views.
