On Saturday, March 1, former Croatan High School standout Nathan Michalowicz’s current college team, the Averett Cougars, won 16-2 in their NCAA Division III baseball game against the Southern Virginia Knights.
The game took place at Harvey-Dryden Field. This was their first matchup against the Knights this season.
The Cougars’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 1 at 3 p.m. at Harvey-Dryden Field against Southern Virginia Knights.
Carteret County has scheduled a public hearing on its proposed fiscal year 2026–2027 budget. Residents can review copies starting May 11 and attend a hearing on May 18 to share their views.
