On Saturday, April 12, former Croatan High School standout Ryan Bellamy’s current college team, the Chowan Hawks, won 6-1 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the Erskine Flying Fleet.
The game took place at Grier Field. This was their third matchup against the Flying Fleet this season.
The Hawks’ next game is scheduled for Friday, April 18 at 6 p.m. at Sparrow Stadium against Francis Marion Patriots.
Carteret County has scheduled a public hearing on its proposed fiscal year 2026–2027 budget. Residents can review copies starting May 11 and attend a hearing on May 18 to share their views.
