On Tuesday, Feb. 18, former Croatan High School standout Nathan Michalowicz’s current college team, the Averett Cougars, won 5-2 in their NCAA Division III baseball game against the Grove City Wolverines.
The game took place at Owen-Fulton Field. This was their second matchup against the Wolverines this season.
The Cougars’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 22 at 12 p.m. at Ted Leonard Park against Greensboro Pride.
Carteret County has scheduled a public hearing on its proposed fiscal year 2026–2027 budget. Residents can review copies starting May 11 and attend a hearing on May 18 to share their views.
