Morehead City Parks and Recreation announced on May 8 that it will hold two community engagement events to gather public input for its 2026 Master Plan. The first event is scheduled at the W.S. King Recreation Center, located at 1600 Fisher St., from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, May 8 in the W.S. King Room.
The city is inviting residents to share their ideas and feedback about the future direction of parks and recreation facilities and programming in Morehead City. These events are designed to ensure that community voices play a role in shaping upcoming plans.
For those unable to attend the Friday session, a second opportunity will be available on Saturday, May 9 at the Morehead City Train Depot at 1001 Arendell St., where staff will be present from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
According to organizers, these sessions aim to record feedback from as many residents as possible so that future facilities and programs can better meet local needs.
