Luisa Vasquez, a certified medical assistant at Outer Banks Health, has been named Team Member of the Month for August 2025. Vasquez began her tenure with Outer Banks Health in March 2014 and joined Family Medicine – Manteo in 2023.
According to colleagues, Vasquez is recognized for her willingness to support her team by covering shifts, assisting with Urgent Care, and representing Outer Banks Health at community events. She is also noted for her dedication and professionalism in her role.
Vasquez’s approach to patient care includes taking time to understand patients beyond their clinical needs. Patients have commended her kindness, while coworkers appreciate her positive presence and teamwork. In addition to her clinical duties, she volunteers at various community outreach events throughout the year.
Her commitment to professional growth is evident as she seeks opportunities for continued learning to better serve both patients and colleagues.
