On Friday, Feb. 21, former West Carteret High School standout Josh Plisko’s current college team, the Methodist Monarchs, won 6-5 in their NCAA Division III baseball game against the Hartford Hawks.
The game took place at Armstrong-Shelley Field. This was their first matchup against the Hawks this season.
The Monarchs’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 22 at 4 p.m. at Armstrong-Shelley Field against Hanover Panthers.
Carteret County has scheduled a public hearing on its proposed fiscal year 2026–2027 budget. Residents can review copies starting May 11 and attend a hearing on May 18 to share their views.
