On Tuesday, March 11, former First Flight High School standout Porter Braddy’s current college team, the UNC Wilmington Seahawks, lost 7-3 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the North Carolina Tar Heels.
The game took place at Bill Brooks Field. This was their first matchup against the Tar Heels this season.
The Seahawks’ next game is scheduled for Friday, March 14 at 6 p.m. at Bill Brooks Field against Charlotte 49ers.
Carteret County has scheduled a public hearing on its proposed fiscal year 2026–2027 budget. Residents can review copies starting May 11 and attend a hearing on May 18 to share their views.
