On Saturday, March 1, former Currituck County High School standout Cannon Pickell’s current college team, the Western Carolina Catamounts, lost 16-15 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Rider Broncs.

The game took place at Ronnie G. Childress Field at Hennon Stadium. This was their second matchup against the Broncs this season.

The Catamounts’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 1 at 4 p.m. at Ronnie G. Childress Field at Hennon Stadium against Rider Broncs.
