On Tuesday, April 22, former Croatan High School standout Keiya Bullock’s current college team, the Guilford Quakers, won 8-4 in their NCAA Division III softball game against the Averett Cougars.
The game took place at Haworth Field. This was their second matchup against the Cougars this season.
The Quakers’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, April 26 at 1 p.m. at Haworth Field against Roanoke Maroons.
Carteret County has scheduled a public hearing on its proposed fiscal year 2026–2027 budget. Residents can review copies starting May 11 and attend a hearing on May 18 to share their views.
