Carteret County Solid Waste Division will hold a free hazardous waste collection event on April 25 in Morehead City for county residents only. The drive-thru service offers safe disposal options for various household items not suitable for regular trash pickup.
Randy Martin has been named interim city manager for Morehead City effective May 1 after unanimous council approval. With more than forty years’ experience—including prior service as the city’s longtime leader—Martin will serve until a permanent replacement is found.
Morehead City Council will hold a public hearing April 14 about funding renovations for W.S. King Recreation Center. Planned improvements include upgraded gymnasiums, pickleball courts, renovated fields, and more parking.
