County of Carteret issued the following announcement on Feb. 20.

The next regular meeting of the Carteret County Board of Commissioners is Monday, February 20 at 6 p.m. in the Commissioners’ Boardroom at the Administration Building in downtown Beaufort. 

The meeting is open to the public, but limited in capacity.

Carteret County has announced that candidate filing for two Soil and Water Conservation District Supervisor seats begins June 8 and runs through July 6. Eligible candidates must be county residents aged at least 21 with a $5 fee required. Successful filers will appear on November’s general election ballot.
