Carteret County has announced that its Veterans Services Office will move to a new location in Morehead City. The office, previously at 3710-B John Platt Drive, will relocate to 3615 Arendell Street, which was formerly occupied by Crystal Coast Economic Development.
The change follows the relocation of Crystal Coast Economic Development to the County Administration Building at 210 Turner Street in Beaufort. This allowed the county to use the central property for veterans services. The new site provides larger offices for Veterans Service Officers and a more functional conference room. It is also near healthcare facilities and closer to the community college, making it easier for veterans who are interested in educational opportunities.
“These improvements will allow for more private and comfortable consultations, providing veterans with the space they need for personalized service,” according to Carteret County officials. “The updated facilities will also help the Veterans Services Office better accommodate the growing needs of the veteran community.”
The move is scheduled from Friday, Dec. 5 through Monday, Dec. 8, 2025. During this period, in-person services will not be available at either location. Regular operations are expected to resume at the new address on Tuesday, Dec. 9.
Residents seeking information can contact Carteret County Veterans Services at 252-728-8440 or visit the county website.
