Amanda Stewart has been named Outer Banks Health’s Team Member of the Month for March 2025. Stewart joined the organization in July 2020 as a Staff Nurse II and has made significant contributions since joining the Urgent Care team.
Stewart is known for her compassionate interactions, always ready to offer a smile, listen attentively, and advocate for her patients’ needs. She is recognized for providing comfort and reassurance and practices direct communication with honesty and respect, focusing on shared goals and understanding.
A staunch advocate for continuous learning, Stewart is preparing to earn an Ambulatory Care Nursing Certification and received her infection control certification last year. Her dedication to her colleagues is evident, as she is known to pick up extra shifts and perform additional tasks as needed, such as mopping floors and contributing creatively to events like the annual pumpkin submission and patient safety week decorations.
